When I was just a little kid, I loved my Ella, Billy & Miles. I did.
With my jazz records on, I started singing loud and strong. ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ
I like Jazz. Yeah! I like Jazz. Yeah!

I went to school to learn to read, I was getting faster, up to speed.
Teacher said. “Could you read this song?” I stood right up, and before long I sang:
Twinkle, twinkle little star. How I wonder what you are. Up above the world so high, like a diamond in the sky.
I like Jazz. Yeah! I like Jazz. Yeah!

I was in the car with my dad and mom. We were singing songs to past the time along.
Just as dad finished his tune, I busted out with my rendition of Bah bah black sheep have you any wool?
Yes sir, yes sir 3 bags full. One for the master, and one for the dame. One for the little boy who lived down the lane.
I like Jazz. Yeah!

* I was brought up listening to the Rolling Stones, Beatles, Grateful Dead and Bob Dylan. However, I always had a love of good Jazz music.
Parents/Teachers- By teaching children about Jazz and other musical genres, their musical background will become richer and their repertoire will have more variety.
