(Chorus) Hello everyone, how are you?
It looks like you’ve got some dancing to do!
Can you dance, dance, dance and then you’ll sit down?

Can you shake, shake, shake? Shake your hands to the sky.
And then you’ll clap, clap, clap. Clap your hands. Do it right! (Chorus)

Can you stomp, stomp, stomp? Stomp your feet on the ground?
And then you’ll twirl your arms. Twirl your arms all around! (Chorus)

Can you jump, jump, jump. jump, jump up and down?
And then you’ll turn, turn, turn, turn, turn all around. (Chorus)

Can you wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle your nose?
And then you reach way down and stretch and touch your toes? (Chorus)

(Ending) Can you dance, dance, dance (3x) and then you’ll sit down?

I wrote my very first children’s song, “Hello Everyone”, during my first job as a nursery school music specialist in 2005. As a freshly minted educator, I felt compelled to create my own “hello song,” one that would not only drive kids to dance but also to improve their listening skills. Viola!
